The software solution, CareGiver, is innovated and developed by ElderlyCare’s IT department to connect and manage volunteers who supply care services for Melbourne’s senior citizens. The vision of this application is to provide a platform to connect nonmedical, in-home CareGiver for physically or mentally impaired seniors. The volunteers, which need to be government certified caregivers, are assessed by 20 assessors allocated in separate Melbourne regions and register with the Department of Social Services before being accepted to work. The elderly people are also conducted assessments for their references or any considerations. In addition, this platform is estimated to connect both volunteers and senior citizens effectively through virtual task list function rather than manual work as before. Finally, this is a volunteer activity, this is not an activity for profits.
The major feature of CareGiver must perform and allow the users to perform including User Registration, Task Entries, Social Interaction, Viewing Progress and Communicating.
